La Canada Flintridge Kiwanis 2010 Wine and Food Tasting

The 8th Annual La Cañada Flintridge Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at the La Cañada Flintridge Memorial Park located at the intersection of Foothill Blvd. and La Cañada Blvd.  This outdoor event is from 3 to 6 p.m. and features a silent auction.   A live premium wine auction will be conducted from 6 to 7 p.m. by the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Endowment Fund.  This year, live music will be provided by Stunt Road – Classic Rock and Blues.

This is a highly anticipated event with attendance expected to be around 800.  More than 25 restaurants, caterers and food specialty shops will serve tastes of their delicious cuisine along with wine purveyors pouring exceptional wines from around the world. Restaurants participating so far include:Bashan Restaurant; Claud Beltran/Noir Food & Wine; Dish Restaurant ; Farm Fresh To You; Franks Famous Kitchen; La Canada Flintridge Country Club; Minx Restaurant and Lounge; New Moon; and Oceanview Bar & Grill.

The Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada in partnership with the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation Endowment Fund, the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, the Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation and Le Petit Vendome.

The Silent Auction
is conducted from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with items donated by many local businesses, artists, and our members.  Auction items will include exquisite and uniquely hand crafted jewelry, local fine restaurant and food purveyor gift certificates, athletic club and gym memberships, spa services, theater performance and sporting event tickets, access to private clubs, VIP museum attendance, family history research, hairstyle makeovers, dance lessons, auto services, golf equipment, fine wine packages, computer services, and much more.
